well THS , as far as i know, that these 2 new cars are assembled @ daewoo factory, which was producing the daewoo models. Plus the car does really exist, cuz i know a friend... his father owns the factory that imports the trunk's carpets for them, & my father knows the owner of the company that makes the glass for the cars... so it does exist.

And about that piece of paper dont mind, when we bought our fiat sienna 2000, we paid like 5000 L.E, & we took the same piece of paper... lol , its just the 20,000 are v. high for a downpayment or something.

Plus, I heard both A5, A6 prices will move higher, by 10,000 L.E 3 months later... you see, they didnt expect this kind of demand on the car... bookings are till march 2007 !!? , so , we'll just have to wait & see people who takes the 1st delivery ...

well, i did get the brochure for both cars, and it mentions all these options and more like cassette-cd-mp3 player from clarion and heated mirrors.
i saw it at First Car showroom and they were professional.

i asked them to run the engine and the A/C and they did.
last time i called, they said the first delivery will be on 25/8

i hope i get my car then.

I am little bit worry

I have already booked my car (A516) , at the begining of this week (Sunday 13-08-2006), from Abou Ghaly Alexandria, and I should recieve it by next January (as they said) , really I am not sure about this, as the booking rate is extremly very high
I am worried about the price raising, as it will be very bad to go 10000 L.E by only one shoot, I think they should make it 1000 or 2000 L.E, if they want to raise it.
My openion, is that they should raise the price, but not before one year, for the car to be running in the streets, and get recognized, and the after buy service to be tryed and tested.

I will start by my Self:

My Openion is made upon that I have seen the car in the showrooms many times, and from a lot of information I have collected over the net (I have not recieved my car yet).

1. Motor: I think the motor is Powerful desinged by AVL which is an Austrian Company, with high horse power (107 HP), a slightly high torque power (144/4300~4500 Nm/rpm), aluminum alloy for internal mechanical parts, over all the motor technology is advanced as I think.(9 of 10)

2. Exterior Design: It has a bold front which is excellent (for me), good side view, good back view, but I think that the rear Wheel compartment is not matching with the car size at the end. Overall the outside Design of the car is accepted for me. (7.5 Of 10)

3. Interior Desing : It hase a very big salloon, which is copied from BMW 3 series (Which I really like), the seats and legs space are very comfortable, The CD/Cassete/Radio/MP3 Player is excellent. (9 of 10)

4. Interior Materials Quality and finishing : The internal materials are not like BMW of course, but still not that cheap like Verna or Elantra for example (no offense), Finishing is high and accepted for the car price. (8 of 10)

5. Suspension : I have not tried the car yet, but as mentioned it is a macphrson suspension system, rienforced by an anti-roll bar for the egyptian streets (that's what I could figure from asking and from info from the net), I think it will be a good suspension system.(9 of 10)

6. Brakes : Very good,Delphi ABS and EBD, which are very good systems for brakes and the latest technologies in that field . (9 Of 10)

7. Transmission System : Bosch Transmission System (German), which I expect a very good transmission system.(9 of 10).

8. Overall: Overall this car is the best buy for the range of 60000 ~70000 L.E, and I give it (8 Of 10) as overall evaluation.

In fact its very typical to raise the price , From What I understood , They were selling for 59,000 because they were afraid of the first impression , but for 59,000 the car is FLYING in sales .

So if they raise the price later , they are still winners and ppl will still buy it , but of course they forced themselves to be compared by other brands if they raise the price, but after some SOLID SALES like these , I dont think anyone will be afraid to buy the car

that this car han't a plastic cover over the rear wheels, but it isn;t the major reason to accept or refuse this car

i couldnt reserve a car and now the reservation door is closed
so i have heared that abo ghaly automotive el marghany is taking reservation also u pay 5000 for the A516 and 10000 for the A620 and u can get it by january , but i heared he is not an authorized dealer yet and he cant get the car!!!!!!! so i dont know what to do they say there that its a matter of time and they will sign the contract for sure and get their share from the cars from abo el fotouh can any one tell me if he knows anything about that

I saw the picture of this car in other thread, but there was no spec. So, I wonder what class this car is in and its the weight. When I assume this car as small sedan (as you compared with elantra), the horse power is not impressive as even elantra(released April, 2000) provides 108HP from 1.5lt DOHC engine. And the new released one this year provides 120HP from its 1.6lt engine. And I'm wonder if this car has already been released in china for sometime. Otherwise, I think you're taking a big risk. I'm not trying to bash your post. Although you mention it's just your thought,I think all of evaluation is based on the paper spect. The engine is new and no proven record at all. And using quality parts doesn't mean the car also has the same quality. I think it's more about who is building and how. Moreover, regardless the brand, the first 6 to 12 month of new car is not a good buy in my opinion. The price is the highest and is possible to contain some bugs, which takes some time to fix it out (even toyota camry 2007 had a transmission issue). And I wonder if you can post any pic of its interior. Except the concept cars, I feel most of chery's interior look outdated. But !! it's your money and it will be the best car if you're happy with your purchase.
