The biggest change to the all-new 2020 Karma Revero GT is its switch from a GM-sourced 4-cylinder engine to a BMW 3-cylinder engine in the extended range plug-in luxury sedan. The turbocharged engine is used as an on-board generator for the twin electric motors powering the Revero sedan. System output is rated at 536 horsepower and 472 lb-ft of torque. Karma says the Revero can acceleration to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. The plug-in has a pure electric battery range of up to 80 miles and can go 360 miles on a tank of fuel.
In addition to the engine swap, the new Revero, dubbed the 2.0 internally, has lighter, while having more structural enhancements to the body. The body panels are also new with seams tightened and recontoured without losing the iconic look of the sedan. The new Revero GT will be launched in the second half of this year.
