seven-seater 2.4 litre hybrid petrol SUV only selling for RM58,000, USD 16,000.

The technology is rather exciting. Just add a RM 3000 gadget, then could save petrol up to 50%. Which I so far have not come across.

Since the LM Star president Adul Uza mentioned that the cars are open for booking within 10 days (starting 16Aug2006), and be on the road within two months, let wait and see.

I also quite amazed that a seven-seater 2.4 litre hybrid petrol SUV only selling for RM58,000, USD 16,000.

who knows about ShuangHuan manufacturer ? Is this automotive manufacturer well know in China market ? What about its quality reputation ?
I have read in this forum someone saying that Chile would not launch Chinese cars due to emissions homologation !!! Well, be informed that this ShuanHuan is about to be launched in Chile (entry level version's MSRP at $12,000 and fully eqipped version at $28,000).

In case someone has info about this company's reputation like quality, production capacity, etc, let us know. The ones who also never heard about it here you have the web page http://auto.sina.com.cn/salon/shuanghuanqc/shuanghuan.shtml

My friends. Be careful! I am seriously douting this technology! Several years ago, there was ever news in China concerning about the technology of water-converted-into-oil. But now there is not any futher news about it.

Dadi is a small SUV manufaturer. I don't think they have many advanced technology.

This is their homepage http://www.hbshauto.com/.

Yes, it is known by some people here in China. But not like how people know well with Chery, Brilliance, Geely, BYD, Greatwall.

Two cars from Shuanghuan are wellknown, SRV (Copying Hongda CRV) and SCEO (Exterior copied from BMX X5). SCEO looks better and attactive.

My friends,I know a small company in my city.

The name is zhongneng

Zhongneng, being one of our main suppliers, and no doubt the most innovative makers of scooters in China, also makes the generic horrific sub-standard SUV's, of the type Go-Now makes. "Move over rover and let Hover take over" (with all due respect, of course...)

Shuanghuan (or "double circles", in English), make utter crap SUV's that talk the talk but don't walk the walk. It begins with taking off off two circles from the Audi logo, all too obvious. And continues with ripping off every part of the interior and exterior design, while mechanically using the same low end parts and engines to cut down price, sell fast and invest nearly $0 on R&D.

All too common Chinese story, unfortunately. This "SUV" is made for the local farmers in rural China who just won the lottery and have a spare $10,000, now looking for the "pu**y magnet", to complete their image. Pathetic...

How about a forum for JAC? JAC has now it's first sedan model and 'Refine' model is selling very well in it's class. JAC is also an important manufacturer of commercial vehicles.

I think we should have a forum for Beijing based automanufacturers. These are eg. Beijing- Hyundai, Beijing-Benz, Beijing-Jeep and Beijing Auto (BAW).

dragin thanks!

i already talked to them a couple of weeks ago cuz i plan to purchase a couple of 3wheeler auto for my company. they cant speak english so that kinda made it hard for me to converse with them cuz my mandarin is very bad. good thing my partner from china was there to be my interpreter. this also left me with the impression that they might not be that experienced with international clients(btw im from the philippines). Is Jindalu a credible company?

It seems that Zap is a long time customer so they should know someone there who can communicate in English well.
You might want to contact Zap to see if they can direct you to the right Jindalu trade rep. Zap shouldn't be reluctant to help, since afterall you are not a competitor in their market.
