Yes Jkf, at this moment the first series of Roewe cars will be built in the SAIC factory in Yizheng (the former Saibao and Liming factory), later they will be built in a new factory in Shanghai.
Laofan are these Roewe's sharing the same factory in Yizheng that produces SVW's Santana? Back in 2003 ARA reported that the Santana was being built there since April of that year.
Hi Dragin, yes there were plans to produce the Santana in Yizheng, but they never did. Production of the Saibao stopped a year ago, so I expect that the Roewe is the only model that will come off the line. Greetings,

I understand that the SAIC-Ssangyong Istana van (of the Huizhong subsidiary) is also produced at the Yizheng site, but it is probably produced in a different building. SAIC has big plans for this site which is away from crowded Shanghai, but still close to port facilities.
