Wuling Sunshine V

Sunshine V has been silently launched:

Also new website is up: http://www.sgmw.com.cn/zhiguang.html
______________________________

The Sunshine range is being rationalized. The standard wheelbase first-generation Sunshine (LZW6388/6389) has been discontinued. The long-wheelbase (LZW6413/6415) remains as does the Sunshine S, which is new.

The second-generation (LZW6390 and LZW6435) had been withdrawn previously as well.

Once the favorite of the masses, microvans are gradually losing popularity in China against the recent onslaught of budget MPVs flooding the market which are priced only slightly higher than the micros yet offer passenger-car-like ambiance and comfort, more interior space and load carrying capacity.

Per SGMW website, classic Rongguang passenger van has been discontinued, leaving the extended version and S.

The export model, Chevrolet N300 Move, is still available in several countries of Latin America and Africa. The passenger format is becoming rare though; it is the cargo van that predominates.

2019 Wuling Rongguang V (CN110V)

New-generation Wuling Rongguang V set for 2019 launch. To be equipped with 1.2- or 1.5-liter engines.

UPDATE: In March 2019, it was launched as the new Hongguang V

The first-generation Wuling Rongguang V (CN100V) was initially presented as the third model of the Hongguang lineup in late 2014, subsequently being renamed in October 2015.

The CN110V is not a mere re-skin of the CN100V as it sits atop a wheelbase that is extended by 13 cm to 2850 mm. The new minivan's DLO (A- to C-pillars) maintains the look from the older vehicle's, yet the doors are new as are the other visible body panels. The front end is confusingly similar to that of the newly-launched CN115.

Dimensions compared (mm):

Note that the new Rongguang V is unrelated to the Rongguang New Pickup (N350P) of the preceding posts, as the latter has been developed from the N300-series Rongguang microvans and pickups (N300, N300L, N300P, N310).
