Haima has released a few pictures of their latest offering: A Bread Van, aka the mian bao che, as its known in China. These little 7 seater MPV’s are the vains of the Chiense economy, they carry people, goods, chickens, food, livestock etc etc on their way to their final destination. Chang’an recently sold their one millionth bread van, obviously being in the bread van business is quite lucrative!

The Haima Z1, as it is formally known, is according to Haima big, yet small, spacious, economical and most of all safe.

Haima Auto to sell Fstar MPV in early 2009.

Following the launch of its all-new compact hatchback Huandong (H11) in December, Haima Auto has also planned to release its Fstar (Fushida) MPV model to the market in early 2009, said auto.163.com today. The Haima Fstar will be the first new model to be made at the carmaker's Zhengzhou facility.

The Haima F-star MPV uses advanced motor drive technology to reach a speed of up to 80km/h while staying energy-efficient. Its design has featured the seamless fusion of the sedan's comfortable driving and SUV's adjustable space. Haima Auto intends to make the Fstar an all-new model of its economical, reliable, practical, comfortable and high-quality small-car lineup.

At the 2008 Guangzhou auto show last week, the Haima Fstar MPV was showcased along with the all-new compact hatchback Haima Huandong (previously codenamed H11). The Haina Island-based carmaker announced at the auto event that Haima Huandong model, with four automatic/manual comfort/luxury editions, will go to the market next month, to be followed by Haima Fstar early next year.

In addition to the mini-car series, Haima Auto has also started to develop other models to expand its product portfolio. At the Guangzhou show, Haima Auto displayed its MPV model -H2 as well, and on the production schedule is an SUV model codenamed Haima S3, which is expected to be released in mid-2009.

Haima Auto has expanded into the mini-bus, A00-class mini-car, MPV and SUV segments to diversify its product lineups. The automaker has to coordinate the various products and make them well received in the market. Haima has the Haikou plant, Zhengzhou plant and Shanghai R&D center.
