Rigan Motor, a subsidiary of Kerman Khodro engaged in vehicle trading and sales, also a licensed manufacturer of engines and gearboxes, has begun local assembly of the T600 Coupe as Coupa T210. It is powered by a 1.5T 156 hp, 210 Nm engine. 299 units of the SUV have been made in April and May.
Refresh of the T600, with the body from the Coupe and the front inspired by the T500. Zotye may want buyers to think of it as a "second-generation" T600, but this is apparently a progression from the Coupe (B11F). The interior is new, though.
So perhaps it will be the B11 or B11F, that Haah Automotive Holdings plans to launch in the U.S. starting at the end of 2020, or beginning of 2021.
The current trade issues not withstanding, reports say that Haah is going forward on schedule, and will absorb any increase in tariffs, if they arise.
The T700 will follow.
However, Duke Hale, of Haah Automotive Holdings, is still confident that he can bring the Zotye product successfully to the anxiously waiting, one hundred, recently recruited dealers in the U.S.. The first model will be the (updated) T600 that was introduced at Shanghai 2013 Auto Show. Hale vows not to let any forthcoming tariffs to get in the way of the planned 2021 launch.
Back in 2006, Hale had success stolen from him when the plan to launch a revived MG in the U.S. was abandoned.
